Looking Ahead: Big Plans for 2025
The period between Christmas and New Year’s is always a good time to pause, reflect, and plan for the future. This year, I’ve found myself reflecting on how much has changed, and how much I’ve grown, over the past few years.
Photography has been a part of my life for decades, long before digital cameras revolutionized the industry. But a series of unexpected events in mid-2023 shifted my focus in ways I could never have imagined. I’ve always known my way around a camera, but what kind of business would I build?
2024 was a year of learning, testing, and refining. I tried new things, adjusted along the way, and discovered what truly mattered to me and my clients. Now, in 2025, I’m ready to bring all those lessons to life with three key areas of focus:
1. Legacy Portraits: Honoring Loved Ones
Legacy Portraits have quickly become my passion. Capturing portraits of super seniors—your parents, grandparents, or other cherished elders—is an opportunity to preserve their legacy and celebrate their lives. These portraits become timeless keepsakes that your family will treasure for generations.
2. Business Sessions: Elevating Local Professionals
Whether it’s headshots, event coverage, or a tailored media library for your brand, I’m excited to help local businesses project a professional image. Great photography isn’t just about looking good—it’s about telling your story and connecting with your audience in a meaningful way.
3. Giving Back: Supporting Local Non-Profits
Community matters, and I’m proud to offer free photography sessions to Omaha-area 501(c)(3) non-profits through my Giving Back program. Personally, I’ve also started donating blood and platelets at the Nebraska Community Blood Bank. I chose them because they ensure donations stay local, serving hospitals right here in Nebraska. As I step into this new year, I feel more energized and excited about the future than I have in a long time. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow and to helping you capture the moments, people, and stories that matter most.
